Hmmmm...I really, really, really want to disagree with that but unfortunately in all four cases it was a woman I was left staring daggers at. Oh dear. Should have said something less contentious like the back catalogue of Stock, Aitken and Waterman. You can pinpoint the death of music the day Rick Astley made it to number one. :)

England never learning how to play decent Rugby. No offence to you great Scottish guys but if we cant beat you then we need a re-think with one Martin Johnson. Mind you we've never played great Rugby even when we won the World Cup and that seems like a century ago.

Every spring the juniper and cedar out on the Colorado Plateau to the west of Albuquerque begins blooming. Then the spring winds, which come from the west, start blowing. And the Rio Grande River Valley with a big ass 10,000 foot high mountain on the east side acts like a natural trap for all that freaking pollen, with the pollen count going up as high as 1500 ppm during the worst days of what is typically a three week stint.

And then I can't breathe, go through acres of Kleenex, and find myself in the shower billions of times daily to get the pollen off my tender face and respiratory system.

I never had allergies in California. I moved here, and every spring I suffer.

Thus begins the allergies for the year.

f**king juniper and cedar.

The novels of Jackie Collins. I once had one of her terrible, vile, ridiculous book’s given me by a friend as a joke and I couldn’t believe how awful it was. Why is this woman being allowed to waste good trees when they could be used for something else, like making good toilet paper? (on saying that, the paperback I had had a lovely little embossed palm tree on the cover, so it wasn't all bad :) )

Blimey is she still churning them out? I can remember reading them as a testosterone fuelled 14/15 year old and thinking even then that although they had a certain appeal on one level they were still pure unadulterated pap on the whole!!

Yes unfortunately, she’s still pouring them out. Apparently she’s sold over 400 million books worldwide, which proves that you should never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. I’m not keen on her sister either. I was channel hopping a few nights ago and stumbled on one of her films from the 1970’s, one where she has a demonic baby after being cursed by a vengeful dwarf in a strip club. It was so bad it was bordering on brilliant.

It is quite simply explained Betty.....the singles charts mean nothing these days and are determined by people that buy the singles.....sadly (or not so dependent on your viewpoint) there are not many Madness or Morrissey fans who fall into this category beyond the die hards that would buy them anyway who don't have sufficient numbers to make a major dent in the charts.....the charts that count, that really really count are the album charts....and I think you'll find those are more indicative of the record buying public as a whole and do include the likes of Madness and La Moz. See? Simples :)
