Madness Central Downloads In The Zone
MADNESS: In The Zone
"In The Zone" was a syndicated radio program produced by Westwood One which ran through most of the 90's. These were pre-produced shows complete with DJ chatter, cue cuts, and advertisements. All a subscribing radio station had to do was have a fuzzy parlour monkey put the radio transcription CD in at the top of the hour and press play. They didn't even have to add water.
This show, for broadcast the week of November 3, 1997, features an edited version of Madness' 1983 concert at the Hollywood Palladium in California, USA. For those who collect Madness bootlegs, you may already be familiar with this show as the bootleg "Doing Up The Madhouse." By my reckoning, the "In The Zone" production is much cleaner than "Madhouse", although it does not include all the tracks you'll find on "Madhouse" (the radio transcription was edited to fit in a particular time slot).
There are three tracks on the CD. The song listings for each track are:
Track 01: House of Fun, Disappear, Close Escape, The Bed and Breakfast Man
Track 02: My Girl, Shut Up, Madness, Baggy Trousers
Track 03: Our House, It Must Be Love, One Step Beyond
Included with this zip file are the original radio cue sheets (three in all) plus a scan of the Westwood One CD sleeve and the CD face, for those who would like to create an authentic-looking duplication for their collection.
